Sam was a reliable backup for the Walleye in ’24 – ’25, but went to a whole new level in ’25 – ’26. This season he became the Walleye’s number one goaltender, MVP, and rock that they relied on. Sam improved his GAA from 3.31 in ’24 – ’25 to 1.87 this season, and his SV% from .906 in ’24 – ’25 to .932 this season.
