Kam River Walleye Fighting for Local Charity Organizations

Oliver Paipoonge, ON | This Thursday, December 2nd and Friday, December 3rd, the Kam River Fighting Walleye will be partnering up with local charities during their home games at NorWest Arena.

The Walleye are inviting their fans to “stuff the bus” with non-perishable goods in support of the Rural Cupboard Food Bank and the Regional Food Distribution Association. The Fighting Walleye bus will be on hand at both Thursday and Friday home games, as well as out front of Sportop Marketing on Central Ave from 9 AM to 5 PM on both days. Fans can bring non-perishable food items to donate to these two important charities, and they will be placed on the team bus, with the goal of filling the bus up to the brim!

On Friday night, when the Walleye host the Fort Frances Lakers at NorWest Arena, the team will be accepting donations to the Thunder Bay Professional Firefighters' Toys for Tots campaign. The Toys for Tots campaign provides a happy Christmas for thousands of children each year. 100 percent of the proceeds collected go to children in need.

Tickets for Thursday's matchup at NorWest against the Thief River Falls Norskies, and Friday's matchup against Fort Frances, can be purchased online at www.fightingwalleye.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the door, with cash, credit card and debit accepted at the arena.

Help the Kam River Fighting Walleye, the Rural Cupboard Food Bank, the Regional Food Distribution Association, and the Thunder Bay Firefighters' Toys for Tots give thousands of area families a merry Christmas!
