A Thunder Bay native, Cody began his hockey career as the Media Manager for the Thunder Bay Northern Hawks Junior B Team during the 2017–2018 season. He joined the Kam River Fighting Walleye organization in 2020, contributing significantly to the live streaming of the inaugural Teleco Cup.

In the 2021–2022 season, Cody managed HockeyTV broadcasts and operated the arena’s LCD screen during the team’s championship run. Following that season, he officially joined the Fighting Walleye staff as Sales and Marketing Director in the summer of 2022.

As of October 2025, Cody serves as the Director of Business Operations & Marketing, overseeing off-ice and game day operations while continuing to lead the team’s marketing and community engagement efforts.

Residing in Lappe with his German Shepherd, Sloane, Cody enjoys hunting, snowmobiling, and spending as much time at the rink as possible.

Lifelong resident of Thunder Bay, is proud to head this year’s Fighting Walleyes' Game Day Operations.  He brings to the position his previous Walleye experience selling merchandise, helping out with game day events and happily adds to it this year by becoming the Creative Director for the new styles that are proudly on offer.  Mark’s love of sport encompasses his vast experiences in 5-pin Bowling, many years in Softball, and his never-ending love of fishing.

With over twenty years at Sportop Marketing, Mark not only manages the office, designs the artwork, and excels in sales; but he has overseen and managed such events as the merchandising of the Staal Open, to great success.

Never one to turn down a challenge, Mark welcomes this new venture with enthusiasm, commitment and a drive to meet all who cross his path.  He looks forward to cheering on the team and making this season the best one yet!
