The Pond is the home of the Kam River Fighting Walleye nestled in the heart of Northern Ontario. The facility is also known as the Thunder Bay Tournament Centre which is also home to over 20 plus youth hockey tournaments throughout the season.
The Pond will offer the Cross Bar which is a full-service bar and grill during games and during normal business and eating hours. This is a great opportunity to grab a beverage and watch the game in comfort.
Some arenas are just tougher to win in than others. The fans are crazy, the boards take funny bounces, the ice is choppy, or the home team is simply better. The Pond is no different holding 1200-1400 fans in an intimate setting and rocks each and every game! The cold weather and an old arena make it a good home for the young Fighting Walleye to make their mark in the SIJHL.
