FIRST STAR 🌟
MCLAREN PAULSEN, DRYDEN GM ICE DOGS

After being left of the scoresheet in the first game of the month, Paulsen proved that wasn’t going to be typical. The Humboldt, SK native went on to tally points in each of the 8 remaining October games, including 7 multi-point games. Currently, Paulsen is riding a streak of four straight games with 3 points or more. The month ended with a whopping 2.22 PPG. And for the record, that first game of October remains the only game all season he has not registered a point.
SECOND STAR ⭐️⭐️
BEN LAURETTE, THUNDER BAY NORTH STARS
RECORD: 5-0-0 ⋅ SV%: .938 ⋅ GAA: 1.54 ⋅ SO: 1
Laurette couldn’t lose in the month of October, putting up 5 wins for the North Stars in 5 GP. The Calgary, AB native sported a .938 save percentage and 1.54 GAA in bringing the North Stars victory, including an overtime thriller in Dryden in a battle of the 1/2 teams and a shutout on the road against cross-town rival Kam River.
THIRD STAR ⭐️⭐️⭐️
JETT MINTENKO, KAM RIVER FIGHTING WALLEYE

Local talent Mintenko (Oliver Paipoonge, ON) continued his productive play in October, putting up 6 multi-point games out of his 8 played. Balancing being a playmaker (8 A) and goal-scorer (7 G), Mintenko helped the Walleye to a 6-2-0-0 record in the month.
