FIRST STAR ⭐️
ASHTON SADAUSKAS, KAM RIVER FIGHTING WALLEYE
GP: 2 ⋅ RECORD: 2-0-0 ⋅ SAVES: 66 ⋅ SAVE %: .957 ⋅ GAA: 1.50
Sadauskas recorded a 32-save shutout on Friday and followed it up with a 36-save win in a weekend sweep at Sioux Lookout. The Parksville, BC native leads the SIJHL in wins (4) and is one of three goalies to record a shutout this season.
SECOND STAR ⭐️⭐️
ALEX REMENDA, THUNDER BAY NORTH STARS
GP: 2 ⋅ G: 3 ⋅ A: 4 ⋅ PTS: 7
In a weekend with plenty of scoring, the Thunder Bay, ON native led the way picking up three assists on Friday night before turning into goal-scorer, recording a hat trick and an assist in the Saturday matinee.
THIRD STAR ⭐️⭐️⭐️
EVAN KABEL, FORT FRANCES LAKERS
GP: 2 ⋅ G: 1 ⋅ A: 2 ⋅ PTS: 3 ⋅ BS: 5
Kabel had a strong weekend for his hometown Lakers, recording three points across two games, including Saturday’s game-winning goal in the last minute of regulation. Kabel was strong on the defencive side of the puck with 5 blocked shots and team-leading 2:36 in total puck possession time on Saturday.
