The Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) has named it Three Stars for week 9 of regular season play:
FIRST STAR 🌟
DAXTON LANG, KAM RIVER FIGHTING WALLEYE
GP: 2 ⋅ G: 3 ⋅ A: 4 ⋅ PTS: 7
Lang finds himself on the Three Stars list for the third time this season; first time as the first star. This weekend, the White City, SK captain led the Walleye to a weekend split against the #11 team in the country, the Dryden GM Ice Dogs. After scoring twice and adding an assist in a 7-4 loss on Saturday, Lang had a goal and three assists in a 6-2 win over Dryden.
SECOND STAR ⭐️⭐️
ALEX LUCAS, SIOUX LOOKOUT BOMBERS
GP: 2 ⋅ G: 2 ⋅ A: 5 ⋅ PTS: 7
Lucas was consistent this weekend in the two-game home set against Kenora. On Friday, he tallied three points (1-2–3), and followed it up with a four point night on Saturday (1-3–4). Lucas, from Oro-Medonte, ON, now has 8 points in 4 games in the month of November.
THIRD STAR ⭐️⭐️⭐️
TAIT HOWELL, SIOUX LOOKOUT BOMBERS
GP: 2 ⋅ G: 4 ⋅ A: 2 ⋅ PTS: 6
Howell was also consistent for the Bombers this weekend against Kenora. Friday saw Howell chip in two goals and two assists. Then on Saturday, the Black Creek, BC native added two more goals, including the GWG. Howell now has 8 points in 4 games in the month of November.
